What if an AI story had weight, texture, and a place on your desk?
Roulettective brings generative storytelling into a tangible detective game. Players handle physical slides, collect clues, and form connections while an AI system develops the investigation. The familiar ritual of loading a projector becomes a new way to interact with a language model.

The object is part of the story.
A rotating carousel, physical clue cards, and projected imagery make the investigation unfold through touch. Instead of typing into a chat window, players insert characters, objects, and places. The system responds with narrative associations, keeping physical actions and story progression connected.
Generate
Begin with an AI-generated mystery.
Collect
Insert slides representing people, places, and objects.
Connect
Discover relationships between the clues.
Resolve
Build an explanation and reveal the mystery.

My work spans product design and full-stack development: shaping the investigation flow, connecting physical inputs to AI responses, and iterating on narrative readability, repetition, and continuity. Developed with Yuhan Wang under Marcelo Coelho. The project was presented through UIST Adjunct 2025 and NeurIPS 2025 Creative AI Track.
